Sunflower Fields and my Nume Curling Wand
This weekend we went to a local U-Pick market in my area called Bedners to pick sunflowers. Sunflowers are my absolute favorite flower; they were even the flower I chose for my wedding bouquet. They ended up have fresh strawberries to pick as well so we spent hours in the sun. This inspired me to create a homemade strawberry margarita recipe, which I will be sharing later this week.
My mother in law has been in town, and I am so happy we got to take her to Bedners. I have wanted to go pick sunflowers since February, but they weren’t ready yet. Anyway, the night before we went my NuMe curling wand arrived and I was pretty excited because I have never purchased a curling wand before. The curling iron I had been using on my hair was my mom’s and was probably like 15 years old, so when the top finally fell off of it I decided to purchase a new curling wand. I used it on my hair the morning we went to pick sunflowers and I really liked the results. Of course I got hot and sweaty and my hair ended up falling limp but that’s because my hair never holds a curl, especially when the weather is so hot and humid.
We had a really fun and relaxed weekend over here at the Larrea household, and I am ready to face Monday. How was everyone’s weekend?
